What is Vitamin B12?

Vitamin B12, or cobalamin, is naturally found in animal foods. It can also be added to foods or supplements. Vitamin B12 is needed to form red blood cells and DNA. It is also a key player in the function and development of brain and nerve cells.

Vitamin B12 binds to the protein in the foods we eat. In the stomach, hydrochloric acid and enzymes unbind vitamin B12 into its free form. From there, vitamin B12 combines with a protein called intrinsic factor so that it can be absorbed further down in the small intestine.

What causes a vitamin B12 deficiency?
Low levels of vitamin B-12 can be caused by: Diet. Vitamin B-12 is mainly found in meat, eggs and milk, so people who don't eat these types of foods may need to take B-12 supplements. Some foods have been fortified with B-12, including some breakfast cereals and some nutritional yeast products.

Why Vitamin C Injections?

Biotin

Biotin

What is Biotin?

A biotin injection reacts with enzymes and contributes to the production of amino acids that, in turn, help with basic protein building. Healthy levels of biotin can boost the body's keratin infrastructure and revive hair follicles leading to a decrease in hair loss and shinier and thicker hair. Biotin also helps with healthy skin and nail growth.

Do biotin injections really work?
Correct dosage of biotin supplementation gave shown an increase in hair growth, hair structure and thickness as well as decrease in hair loss. Biotin intra-muscular injections also go hand in hand for hair growth and nails strengthening.
Does biotin affect sleep?
Biotin is necessary for maintaining appropriate thyroid activity and regulating sleep, hunger, energy, and even pain. If your body has trouble controlling these basic functions or if you experience weight gain, trouble sleeping, or constant fatigue, additional biotin can help with thyroid regulation.
